Tivoli Center Downtown

The former Fowler Brothers Building, now the Tivoli Center, sits at the Southwest corner of Broad Street and Seventh Avenue. The four story brick and stone building completed in 1889 is a Victorian Commercial style building with strong Richardsonian Romanesque influences. The buildings cut stone facade is the best example of this type in downtown Chattanooga.

A magnificent lobby introduces every visitor to the interior of the building with a unique grand staircase leading to the lower lobby. The first floor lobby area has interior glass partition walls, allowing a view of the 20’ ceilings along the impressive 1939 Art Deco details at the upper portions of the column system.

In 1986, the building was renovated a second time in conjunction with the renovation of the Tivoli Theatre next door. Today, the building is the center piece in the renaissance of downtown Chattanooga providing a quintessential office environment in the heart of the downtown business and financial district. The Tivoli Building offers grandness that is simply not available in the ordinary office complex.
